I really cannot believe how The Star is trying to destroy a great school like Parktown Boys' - even our ruling party, with all its fraudulent activities, doesn't get this much coverage! I have two sons who went to the school and were in the hostel, and they would not change one minute of their time there! Try looking at all the good the school does, like bursaries for disadvantaged kids. - Saddened mom
I know from personal experience and from many friends and relatives that Parktown Boys is an excellent school, and I don't believe both sides of the story have been revealed. This story has been sensationalised and the boys and (headmaster) Tom Clark have my full support. - Nastasya Koumaras
It is amazing that the headmaster and his staff have not condemned this barbarism. What kind of sick institution are they running? Mrs Kimber and her son, who broke the silence, are brave people - Ex-Parktonian
As a concerned person who has heard pupils talk at bus stops and other public places, the foul-mouthed polo coach verbally abuses the boys. The deputy head boy has been reprimanded on more than one occasion for fighting. He is a leader who threatens to f*** everyone up. The headmaster should step down. What kind of example do you set? Your school policies are hypocritical and there are too many double standards. - Anonymous
I'm a Parktown Boys' mom. I would like to be interviewed on initiation. I believe the other side of the story should also be heard. There is another side of the story that you conveniently overlooked. - Cindy Haefele
